My truck wont start, it was runninig fine until the other day i was backing out of the driveway, and my foot slipped off the clutch and i choked down, and i went to crank it back up but nothing, the truck has power and everything, it will jump start, im just lost, i thought it may be a starter so i got another one but still nothing, could it be the ignition switch, or a fuse for the ignition, if so, where is the fuse, is it under the hood or on the side of the dash, none of the covers have any info on which fuse does what, i know somebody on here knows, thanks

CHECK YOUR PASSENGER SIDE KICK PANEL BEHIND THERE -- THERE SHOULD BE A INERTIA SWITCH -- ITS A RED BUTTON -- PUSH IT DOWN -- AND THEN YOUR TRUCK SHOULD CRANK RIGHT ON UP --- TRY IT IT MIGHT WORK ----IF NOT IM LOST ---- JAMES HELP THE GUY OUT ---

ok since it jump start( i asume by using cables) its not that starter it could be a battery or a fuse like you said there are usually fuses in the dash most of the time they are on the drivers side below the column just check them all and replace all burnt ones

Well i got out there yesterady and checked the fuses, and found two that were blown, they were two of the little fuses on the side of the dash, so i replaced them and the truck tried to turn over, but just cliked like the battery was dead, so i checked the batt with a volt meter and it had about 12.5 volts, so im guessin the battery is good, so i pushed it off, let it run for a while, and turned it off and tried to recrank it, and the motor kinda turned over then started clickin, so i try it again and the two fuses blew again, so what could it be, a guy at my work said rangers are bad about messing up starter relays, could that be it, im lost, james if you have any idea, or any body else, please help

there is a relay but if it turns over at all its not that the relay is located up on the firwall pass. side try tapping on the solenoid a couple times and then turn it over sometimes when the solenoid goes out you can get it to turn over that way or try to jump a wire from one post to the other same deal if it turns over the solenoid is your problem
