Ranger wont start, need help

the switch is on the rod for the pedal.

well we still cant figure it out, there is power running to the starter realy, but it does not come out of the realy, and it is not giving the fuse box any power, which i think is the prob, but i got a new realy, could it be bad, and did these year trucks come with an anti-theft system, becsaue when we hot rie to starter realy to crank up the truck, there is a red light that blinks behind the steering wheels, could that cause the power in the truck to be shut off, im just lost, either the realy bads or something, im fed up with it

sounds like there is an aftermarket alarm(or factory one) messign it up. do you have a key fob for hte keyless entry?

make sure your battery cables are tight and getting good connection

nah, all i got was a key when i got the truck, no remote or anything, everything on the inside is maual, windows, locks

ok then it prob doesnt have a factory alarm system, but its possible it has an after market alarm and its fucking up. even tho you dont have the key thing, it could still be in there, i would prowl under the dash and check.and yes it is possible to get a bad starter solnoid from the parts store.

got it fixed, when i replaced the relay my stupid self put a wire on the wrong terminal, switched it over and it cranked right up, but the only problem to begin with was a bad relay, thanks for everyones help

i wanna try and make it, but im kinda havin trouble with the title on the truck, its all screwed up, and james, i saw in another post you had a complete 5.0 swap for a ranger for sale, can you pm me a price or somthing, this is my last post of the month, thanks dude

not a whole swap, just a motor thats pretty much complete(truck motor) w/ a spun rod bearings.
