Towing with bagged ride (need experienced people)

well i'm starting to bag my suburban and got the setup pretty much figured out. i have a parellel 4 link i'm running and will be attachting canti-lever bars behind axle to it, pretty much like the KP setups do. the bags will be mounted on those bars, 2600 stones. obviously this give me lots of lift and good ride quality, but i'm wondering if this is good enough and safe to tow with.

i'm looking for people who have bagged rigs that tow big trailers and your experiences and help. thanks.

i had siver star canti-lever 2 link on my ranger and can still pull my boat whit no prob.

if it is a heavy trailer, it is better to put the bags on the axel. So they are on a 1:1 ratio.

On yours they are on a 2:1 ratio so it is like putting twice as much weight on your bags/bars.

Use the 2800 size bags too. They can handle more weight.

you cant tow a very big trailer with a suburban... im assuming you are talking about a car trailer?

i pull stuff occasionally with my fullsize chevy, i have a parallel 4 link with slam rs82 over the axle. pretty much any setup will pull a trailer, you arent even adding a 1/2 ton of weight on the back of your vehicle with a car trailer. its more important how stable the ride is so you dont lose control of your truck and trailer.

why wouldnt you be able to tow a car tralier with a burb? its rated high enough with stock leafs. the bags can hold more weight then that.

i'm not sure bout the ratio thing i mean its on a lever setup, so that means it takes less air to lift, but i guess i do see how it puts more pressure on it too.

it meas 2:1 doble the weight on the bags wich takes more psi to lift but giving u a better ride but if u tow with the 2:1 it would max out ur bags with weight pretty much u can only tow with bags over axle

Have a 6-link set on my Burb and it tows like a dream.Have towed any where form S-10's to old school rides.

vinny, thats exactly what i want to hear. i have a similiar setup going in. i looked at your setup before so if u can tow, cool. i see you're using slam bags. what kind, i planned on using my 2600's that i have laying around. i plan on towing my s10 sometimes, so thats 5200 lbs the bags can support, i would assume thats enough.

If you place the bag behind the axle it puts less less weight on the bag if you are using forward facing links. The only downside is an even stiffer ride when you aren't towing
