I towed a dually on a 18' trailer with my dually. It had a 2-link w/ bags over the axle. IMO over the axle is the only way to go if your gonna do alot of pulling. Here's a little video of it..........

i have the cando reverse lever 4 link on my truck with 2b7's

pulled a 16 foot tandem trailer with my 4 banger s10 (only about 50 miles, but i think i got past 3rd gear 2 times)

i do pull my double jetski trailer regularly though without any problems, so I technically do what you're gonna do, just on a smaller scale

I would put the bags as close to the rear end as you can, when u try to put alot of weight on a 2:1 ratio all you will do is colapse your bags, and by the time you get enogh presure in them to lift the truck and trailer you will blow the bags out.
