actually you are wrong...with a bigger tip size you have more material flowing thru so it needs to be broken up more ie=more air pressure...a smaller tip will break up the material more ...which is very important because you need the material broken up properly to fill your scratches instead of laying over them..and then shrinking up later on when the solvent comes out...

i use a transtar primer gun at work, it has a 1.7 needle and it works pretty good. all my other guns are sata guns and love them. i only paid 100 bucks for the transtar gun. i did get to spray with an iwata gun tonight it sprayed pretty good.
