ok, i think i want the body lines back on my isuzu. i think it looks too plain fully shaved. and i bought it like this, so chances are it's mostly body filler anyway. how hard would it be to reverse the shave? or would i basically need to get a new body?

if its just filled in with bodyfiller then it wont be hard at all, just grind it all out....it comes out easy. If they welded a panel in thare, it will be alittle harder, but still not so tuff that you need to get a new cab.

I THINK IT DEPENDS ON HOW THEY SHAVED THE BODY LINE --- IF I WHERE TO TRY TO REVERSE THE JOB I DID ON MY BODY LINE --- LETS JUST SAY THE WORK WOULD NOT BE WORTH IT --- MY BEDS FIBERGLASS AND I FIBERGLASSED THE LINE OUT --- SO I WOULD BASICALLY HAVE TO MAKE A LINE FROM SCRATCH -- TOO MUCH WORK -- IF YOURS IS ALL STEAL -- THEN WAVY PANELS IS WHAT ID BE WORRIED ABOUT !!!

yeah yuour gunna be gettin new panels...

if it all bondo, go kick the guy who did it in the head for bein a dumb ass, but do not grind it out. have some one sand blast it out, or better yet have it soda blasted. if you grind it out, your gunna warp the hell out of the panels, then youll have major body work in all thelines and yourpanels..

Definitely the why to go, but you may first want to find out how it is shave in the first place. save yourself the time if it is welded in

i understand the want to do this ... bc you want it back in ... but honestly ... i think it looks better without it ...

yeah, i gotta find out how it was shaved before i make any decisions. i'm judging by the rest of the work the guy did on this truck before i bought it, and guessing it's just filled. my opitions so far are, if it's just filled, blast it out(thanks for the tip on that). but if it's welded panels, i might make my own lines from scratch or do some old hot rod style metal stripping on it.

by the way...what's a good way to test an area without doing too much damage to find out if it's filler or welded?

Just check on the back side of the fenders or anywhere else you can see the back of and check to see if the metal has discolored from getting welded on. You should be able to see if the panel was welded on

body lines on my ranger were paved smooth when i got it..i took the air grinder with a 36grit disc and went to town..
