good luck with that 4 link bushing, i'd save your self the trouble and mount a baring in there, my 4 link bushing lasted one 5 hour drive to reso, and i limped it home and pressed two barings in there with a brass sleeve and it's been good for three years since.

i have already thought about the pressure on the bushin & prolly will change it once i start drivin it...

yes, but in the case of using a standard inexpensive baring in the place of a cheap 4 link bushing, to give it a longer safer life, weight has nothing to do with over-engineering.

You said over engineering(something).

"weight" (in the context in which you used it) plays no role in this type of "over engineering", clearer?

In reality a bearing has nothing to do with over engineering. In fact I won't use a bushing either. You where implying that it's good to over build something. Most of the over built stuff I see is full blown like in this thread and I wanted to make a point that weight can ruin a trucks performance, braking, drivability and gas mileage.

your nitpicking something that is off topic, in relation to a "cantilever" where is too much weight effecting performance and breaking and gas milage involved in this conversation? I don't see the weight of a arm/pivot/baring being enough to effect those things.

And if you'd look again you'd see i said almost, as in not all the time. Yes i agree that things can be over engineered to the point in which it becomes a hampering, but in this case, in relation to the pivot point on the cantilever, i feel as if the better to be safe than sorry method is better used.
