Air Zenith Recall

How are you guys AZ's going out mine is still runnin but not pumping pressure is that what is happening to everybody? will a rebuild piston fix it? My number on the bottom ends in a 1.

Yea all of ours did the same thing. starts off getting louder, then you start seeing black crap in the water trap then they quit pumping air. What i love the only answer i got from AZ on this is that i must be running to small of a power wire LOL

Thats like saying my power wire to the starter was to small so i blew a head gasket. If the guy on the phone didnt know they shouldnt give dumb answers. What really sux i had 3 come back yeterday. What sux is i have had to have 3 trucks towed back to me now stuck on the ground ( which cost me money) i have had to send MANY back at $16 each (cost me more money) then have truck taking up space then reinstall the compressors (MORE MONEY) and last makes me look bad as a shop pushing these parts then having them fail and having to fix the trucks (um MORE MONEY) So it has cost me ALOT For these problems with AZ's. one truck that came in has 2 AZ's bad first one went out about a month ago after only being on for ALMOST 3 months, just quit pumping second one did something new melted the wires at the pump where they come out of the compressor then blew the 80amp fuse LOL

damn. i was going to run an AZ on my new project... sounds like id be better off running an AIM compressor...

My compressor just crapped out on me last night (it's all wired right and only at 180psi) i've only had it installed for about a month maybe ran it 10-12 times total,it worked fine in the morning then went to move last night and nothing it wouldn't even make a sound and all my fuses are still intact. so i guess it's done and need return it. oh and it's the one of the recall #'s

Mine should be back tomorrow or thursday I believe.

just got the phone with them and got RA# and they said it was a 3 day turn around for me to get a new compressor. so now i have to cut my bed up to get the compressor out and send to them. (damn why did have sheet metal the bed in, oh thats right so no one could steal it again)

you sheet metaled the compressors in?

or did you just sheet metal your box?

Why can't you just take the box off and take the compressors out? why do you have to cut up the box to get at your comps? seems pretty foolish to me.

^ Yea, seems like a poor design if you have to cut shit apart to axcess your compressors.

holy shit im glad I read all this, I was just in the process of buying 2 of the AZ's from SD.com for my dime. Thank god I didnt pay for them yet, that was $600 I can spend else where. I guess Ill be going back to Viair for alot less money. Sorry to everyone who has wasted money on these.
