Hi
Sorry it took a little while to figure out what to do. Thanks very much for the help.
This is my truck its in very good shape for its year. a little mending, and i'm away. Is the running gear on this the same as the 1986 on? can i use drop spindles etc on it. Can you see what i mean about the quarterlights and the wing mirrors are not in the usual place.
I,ve learnt loads from this site already, are there anymore good sites with mazda info out there on them.
Many thanks for the help so far
Ben

Yes, your truck is the same as our 1986-93 trucks.

You should be able to run drop spindles, but they will push your wheels out to a slightly wider track. About an inch( not sure of the centimeter equivalent...4.5 to 6...I guess ). They will also cause more clearance issues with your 16X8" wheels.

If you are just going for a static drop, you can re key the torsions, flip your lower ball joints, or use drop control arms. The latter however complicate air ride installs.

I see what you are saying about the quarter windows, and your mirror placement is farther back on the door. You also have different bed sides....sometimes called japanese bed sides around my part of the country.

Truck looks good though, and good luck with it.

wow that is a clean truck!

I dont recommend spindles, you will need even MORE offset to fit, and you cant run anything smaller than 16"

Other sites are mazdatruckin.com and mazdabscene.com . Lots of knowledgable and enthusiastic people on both.

You can use full size chevy/gmc rims from older trucks as well as newer ones with minor modifications.
