The most amount of movement a uni-ball has is the 1" uniball with a 5/8" bolt. They get 64 deg.

Somebody might have something I haven't seen yet, but the guy I buy from is pretty good.

only thing i would be scared of is if it gets really hot out and the bolt expands faster then the cast spindle does and your hole either elongates or cracks just like ice in a hole does.

Okay then well... I wasn't super psyched about the uniballs as much as the adjustable balljoints. It was on here awhile back and I can't remember at all who made them and I searched high and low on Yahoo and Google. It was a display of a dozen or less different types of balljoints. The type of balljoint almost resembled a tie rod end.

(I don't know how to do the tricky thing with the quotes like you guys do)

You don't have to concern yourself with the temp outside. It's in the 250+ temps you should worry about (but still not a concern if properly "engineered".)

The proper way to do what is in question would be to use a bolt with a grip length (the unthreaded portion of the bolt) that extends through both parts. The tighter the tollerances the better, use self locking nuts and torque the bolt properly.

The place where I get my uni-balls is HM engineering at www.hm-engineering.com

I don't think they sell to the public tho.

A 1" uni-ball is about $115 but is definately larger then anything you would need on a frame dragger.

Sorry LiLPmpn, I'm not famillar with what you are talking about. I know www.stockcarproducts.com has a lot of unique stuff that might help

there are adjustable balljoints that change the height of the balljoint, to change roll center....

and they are 100+ dollars a pop......

Okay how about this little setup. Still use the Uni-Balls but I went on SuicideDoors site and found the studs/locknuts and the sleeves they go into, similar to an adjustable 4-link bar. Then work the control arm arms off of the bungs therefore leaving the Uni-Ball adjustable for camber reasons. If this wouldn't work, it might help as to picture what I was talking about previously.
