By the way I don't want to make something that will just "work." I'll be driving this everyday as my daily, so it needs to be sturdy and super-reliable.

I had an idea similar to what you are thinking about doing LilPmpn. But I was going to build something with limitless travel. But I would loose the ability to make sharp turns. Not good for daily use. Ended up with just your average screw in balljoint.

So I guess I would just be best off having a regular stationary balljoint, and have adjustment for camber where the control arms meet the frame..?

Thats what I ended up doing. I couldnt find a design that I really liked that would be flawless. So I went with the tried and true design.

I'm not saying thats the way to go, just the way I went. Its still ultimately up to you.

Hey seth, were did you get the balljoint sleeves and the heims at. I would like to make a set of upper for my truck like that. With the screw adjustable instead of slots. Thanks

Balljoint sleeve is from Speedway Motors. I got the heims from Ballistic Fab. They are chromoly QA1 heims. They're not that bad a price. I also got the tube adapters there.
