a decent four link is like what.. 400 bucks at most?

carrier bearings
driveshafts
tailshafts.
transmissions.
rearends.. are alot more than 400 dollars to replace when you jam your driveshaft into the transmission with ashitty two link with 15" bars

its not really living on the edge, its just half assed (get it? 4 link minus two = half assed)

The more people that insist it is right, the more I will insist that it is not. Someone a year from now is going to do a forum search and read this, I want them to be completely informed. People can use two links and "not have any problems", just the same as people can install a 4 link and goober it all up, like sadexcuse and his great reverse setup. I am only trying to improve minitrucking and get away from these cheap and wrong setups. I like to compare minitrucking to hot rodding because they both started out the same way, with young guys looking for a cheap way to have a hobby. But if you have looked around minitrucking lately its guys spending more on setups at dedicated shops than some people spend on a brand new car. Its far from the cranked torsions and lowering blocks where we started a long time ago.

But if we ever want any respect from the public, or even at national shows with hot rod judges, we need to quit the half assed crap that makes people scared to roll next to us.

give your success stories on how two links parted the Red Sea, there are a thousand other stories on how they ruined drivelines. Good for you that your two link worked within your limited expectations of a suspension. If you exceed those expectations even by a little bit, maybe you want to put the bags on the bars for more lift, maybe you want to run FBSS without using your frame as a chain bridge, either of those would be better served by a suspension with more lift.

Pinion angle is right only at one height.

Fore/aft movement.

Lack of articulation.

Explain all of those limitations as benefits, and I will jump on the two link bandwagon.

not really sure why you guys get so bent out of shape when somebody says it has worked great for them, like I said I have a both set ups and it isnt a matter of being cheap or half assed, I have plenty of raw steel laying around to fabricate upper bars and add bushings to the rear of the lower bars, I am just sharing my experience with a 2 link, and letting people know that it can work fine if thats the route you choose, I have been building mini trucks since 91 and had tons of different set ups, and I have had a couple of 2 link set ups with no problems with having to replace anything, I am sorry that it has worked for me, I never once insited it was the right way or the preferred way but there is nothing wrong with people sharing there stories of something working, and I am sure that one of the reasons it works for me is like I said I have been mini truckin for a long time and I am old, meaning that I treat my truck well, I dont care about going side to side or draggin, my standard cab mazda has juice and I gave that one a 4 link knowing that I would be a bit harder on it, as far as respect from the national judges and the public, not really sure if any of that was my goal when building my truck but I guess when I dont win the Ridler Award next year I will redo my set up.

bottom line: 4 link is the way to go, but if you want a 2 link it can work just make sure if its a show truck to have a bed floor or no one will like your truck
