well, if you want your truck to lay out, there is know way around cutting your bed, it has to be done. now you could do it in a way where you just cat a little bit. like only where the frame goes over the axle. ive seen that done. might have to make a little hole for the pumpkin also. but it doesnt have to be an entire cut out. as for the front, the 98-03 f150 are a pretty hard truck to get to lay out. it will take some cutting know matter what. if it lays in the front, you also have to notch the frame for the tie rod to clear. not sure if the shock wave will give you the lift you need either.
bottom line is, What do you want it to be in the end. do you just want a little bit of adjustability or do you want it to lay out.
