well, if you want your truck to lay out, there is know way around cutting your bed, it has to be done. now you could do it in a way where you just cat a little bit. like only where the frame goes over the axle. ive seen that done. might have to make a little hole for the pumpkin also. but it doesnt have to be an entire cut out. as for the front, the 98-03 f150 are a pretty hard truck to get to lay out. it will take some cutting know matter what. if it lays in the front, you also have to notch the frame for the tie rod to clear. not sure if the shock wave will give you the lift you need either.

bottom line is, What do you want it to be in the end. do you just want a little bit of adjustability or do you want it to lay out.

thanks for all the ideas. not sure if its gonna be bags or shockwaves on the front. i'd like to lay frame but not at the expense of cutting the bed up, atleast for now. there is a guy with a '01 f150 with shockwaves on the front and it looks like it lays frame but he may have a body kit on it.

if all your wanting to do is lay on 20's then you don't have to cut the bed my bed is still in tact and m truck lays just fine use a 245/255-35-20 and you will be fine

if you use art stuff go with the cool ride over the shockwave because you can always modify it so it lays

also the belltech spindles up front are not a bad idea also along with the lower control arms

contrair my friend....if u wantin to lay 20s as in truly lay frame, u have to cut the bed. and the rear of ur truck doesnt lay. im not hatin on u chad...ur a friend of mine im just statin the facts. also i wouldnt use a spindle and a lca..u aint gonna get a lot of lift as u would just one or the other. and i would use a 2600 up front....best way to go for sure

mine truly lays frame on 255/35/20 and i had to cut the bed out.i tried to do it without cutting the bed but it was just not possible. you can lay transmission crossmember without cutting the bed.
