First off, let me say, that i'm new to SSM. I've got about 2k posts over at s10forum, but I decided to swing on over here .

Ill get the pics up soon. Let me give you the downlow 1st, get your your interest going.

Stock floor body drop regular cab short bed, second gen sonoma.
22" wheels.
fullllllly smoothed 3x3 frame.
Tubular backhalf.
Paint is going to be Cadillac escalade pearl white, (with more pearl).
cavy dash.

but this is where it gets interesting,

i'm wanting to run.. a ford 302? what?! yeah, you heard me. 302ci, t56 6speed, and 9" rear end.

As of right now, i've got the motor. I've got the frame horns done, and everything forward of the a arms smoothed. antenna shaved, working on doors. I start working soon, like this week. so it will get rolling quick!

(and if ya wanna complain about the swap, save it. thanks )

the rear shouldn't be hard. I imagine that the motor and trans will have to have mounts made especially for your application? I think anyways. Then just wire it up. Good luck on the project. Should be very different.

Motor, waiting on me to pull it back apart, and re-build it with the forged lower end. and for a god sakes, i need to get a new oil pan (going to have to mod the shit out of it, to make it fit to she s10, thats why I have a junk one, so i dont give a damn about it)

still-a workin..

the frame. i finished the final touches. and got it all in primer...

better? Remember.. this is the 1st time i've ever built a motor, done body work, or anything. I'm learning as I go, so take your time with me. thanks guys

sounds like a killer project. can't wait to see it. and if any chevy or ford guys have a problem with the ford motor swap they can stuff it. sence back in the 60s and early 70s a chevy nova front clip and drive train was very popular cause it was the easyest way to get more power in the truck. I'm a ford man and i think it is gonna kick ass! Good Luck and Welcome To SSM!!
