i had my caddy's bored out on my mazda but when i put 20s i didnt want to have them bored so i just ground down the tabs on the truck and i didnt have any problems out of the wheels doing it that way. seemed to be about the same either way to me but alot cheaper doing it myself.

I am a machinist and I did a set for a friend in my club. I bored flange out  in our VTL until the bore was totally clean up. It took me about an hour and fifthteen minutes. The cool thing was i did it with the tires mounted on the rim.

Most all wheels these days are lug centric. The old hub centric wheels used a small insert ring that went in the wheel bore and hub bore to line them up together. If it were me I would just have the wheels machined. It will be far more accurate then just randomly grinding on the hubs. A good machinist will pick up off the center bore of the wheel within tenths (.0001") of zero. Most any shop should be able to do it in 1-2 hours at $50-$75 and hour or $100-$150 a set.

Agree with you chris. That is also a really good price. I would do a set for $150 anytime. If anyone lives close to indy and would like a set done contact me J3customs@yahoo.com
