17's or bigger, thats cake. to be in NR we require 18 or bigger. I also agree that wheels make or break a truck. Most of the major clubs have very strict rules when it comes to the vehicles. No rules will never work, youll end up with a bunch of guys who fight about why this truck or that truck doesnt show, or why doesnt that guy ever drive to a show.
Clubs are always different. You just have to go for the type of club you want. If you just want to hang out with like minded people who just want to hang out and party and cruise together, those clubs are out their. If you want to build a badass ride and take home some trophies and look good cruising away, those clubs exit too. If not you can always join the YMCA or something lol.
The way i look at things is simple. IM IN A TRUCK CLUB...not a social club. We do truck club things like show and compete, take home trophies and make it into magazines. So my club has rules, when i didnt have my club and i was in another club it was the same thing. An organized and well run club with RULES. Because thats the kind of person that i am. i like organization and set standards. But like i said, thats not for everybody.
Some people like the "UN-CLUBS" or the no rules clubs. But do those clubs really exist. Even those so called clubs will have some regulations and standards. Thats why clubs like work. Because even though they dont have mandatory set standards that the average person knows about they still have their own guidelines.
enough rambling. good luck with whatever you choose.
But just so you have an idea. Not so you can go and bash our rules, ill give you an idea of what our rules look like.
18 or bigger wheels (yes their are exceptions, its a vehicle to vehicles rule)
One year of petitioning minimum.
Must attend shows.
No racer type cars. If you have a big wing and bunch of stickers, no need apply.
no lowriders
hanging out is a must. If you just want a sticker on your back window, go to walmart and buy one.
thats just an example. good luck.
