OK so my stock gas tank is just to much trouble for what its worth. I am planing on putting a furl cell in the bed and have it where the spare used to be. I need to know what I will need to buy to be able to do this. If any one can make a parts list for me that would be great. Is there anything i should know before i start this? I was thinking about going with a 15 -20 gal cell, don't know what size i am going with. Also will i be able to reuse the stock pump, or will I need an aftermarket one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the process of puting my stock in the cell, it's sort ofa pain in the ass if u've ever seen one out of a dodge ram, dont know if urs is the same. Anyways, I did the cell with the external pump and a regulator and had nothing but problems like every month, but some guys I talked to on here had different brands of regs and pumps, and they said it worked fine, so in all I guess its up to u. It's a little more work, but putin my stock one back in makes my perssure always stay the same.

I went with a 15 gall. since the orig. tank is a 16...i still havent installed it...but i was told to use the stock sending unit, just put a hole in the top of the cell for it...make sure its all sealed good...other than that i dont really know much more about it..i got somebody thats gonna help with mine, that has already put a bunch in

Thanks for the input guys (keep it coming), i also really need to know what parts i will need to buy, like hoses, adapters, and ect. Does it really matter what kind of cell i go with? I am proably just goig to get one from summit. And my stock tank is 20 or 22 gal.

I dont think it matters, just goin to run out of gas faster but I got a 20, just get the high pressure hose from advanced with some hose clamps, and I have the gm sending unit and a pod on my steering column with a gauge for my gas

well i want to keep my stock gauge, and have it accurate. so that's why i want to know what i am going to need for this. i probably should have specified.

If you want to keep the factory gauge you need a fuel cell the same depth as your factory tank. If not your gauge will be off. As far as parts I just got some fuel hose and extended the line and extended the wires and that was it.

peep mine, i used a 19 gallon rci and made a lower 1/4" spacer that was drilled and tapped after it was welded on and then i drilled an upper clamping plate to hold the pump in, and it works tits.

i woudl recomend welding on some beefier mounting tabs and isolating them with rubber grommits like so VV.

so the ONLY way to keep the stock gauge is to get the same level tank? where did you put the cell at fatheadjames, in the bed or in the stock location. and did you get a cell the same level or no. That a nice job Big Joe, and thanks for the pics.

You can get any size tank you want. I have a 20 gallon RCI because the back half was built for a 20 gallon. It's under the truck in the back aslso. Basically do what Joe did. You can't make it any easier then that what he is using. Joe will still be able to make use of his stock fuel gauge. You'll need to extend your fuel lines and wires for the fuel pump. It's not as hard as most people make it out to be.
