i think its a pinion problem... i had that grinding noise on my s10 so i lengthend the bottom bars a couple turns and it went away. much better now

Yep, I have the same problem with mine. It is indeed the drive shaft. I learned the hard way. Aluminum dive shaft...u joint decided it no longer wanted to be a part of the truck. 70+ along with the pinion angle being off means new drive shaft, new gas tank, new yoke on rear end...yeah. not a fun fix.

I'm sure this isn't the situation-

but when i read that, i pictured you strattleing the backhalf with no bed goin down the interstate at 70!

haha

Yeah my buddy's yota did the same thing, and i know for a fact his PA(haha) was WAY off!

i have the same problem ...I do blieve its the pinion angle on mine ...did you shorten your driveshaft?? ...b/c on 3 links with a std cab many have to get it shortened so it doesnt jamb into the tranny ... at about 60-75mph when I let off the gas I hear like a grinding Im thinking its the pinion angle ...I spoke to dave at suicide doors and he mentioned that since I set my pinion angle at 3/4* that I should lower it to 1/2* ..b/c under accceleration the pinion angle will go up and change just a slight bit
