i have the 4.3 in my beater '88 blazer. it's been in my family since '92 and there have been no major problems. i've thought about putting it in my dawg, but then i would have both my rides down n out. i can't have that.

i should have kept my mouth shut...my altenator locked up on me tonight on my way home. it sounded like the engine was gonna blow up. smoked the hell out of my belt. i love the 4.3. 1 belt, 2 wires, 3 bolts and it's off. then the hood fell on my head when i was putting the belt on. if i was working on a scion, i probably wouldn't even felt it.

the bell housing swap from the rx7 to the truck isint that bad. if you use a 12A tranny the shifter isnt to far from the stocktruck mounting, but if you go with the 12A motor you need to redo you steering but are easyer to mount as the motor mounts are on the front steel of the rotary and you can pretty much use stock wiring harness, if you go with the 13B the motor mounts are on the center steel of the rotary but the oil pans are diff and if mounted right steering does clear and you only have to cut out bout 3 inches of sheetmetal where the shifter goes, but you pretty much need the whole wiring harness outa the rx7.i have a std cab mazda with the 12A and i have the ext cab mazda im working on now with the 13B NA/turbo.
