pretty awesome! one question on a previous post you made about the 3 link, does the rear end articulate like a 3 link should with the mounts the way they are? or is it a glorified 2 link? (ABSOLUTELY NO HATING) it looks clean as hell like that and if it still functions as a 3 link (having side to side articulation) id be interesting in utilizing similar design in later projects.
PS, im not a "hittin sides" kinda guy either. i know these things arent road-race cars, but why not design it like one if you can, right? thats how i see things
No, i havent tested it for "hitting sides" becaues i dont care. It means nothing to me if it can or cannot, I do know just from playin around in the garage with it, that one side will drop about 6" without effecting the other side at all....but i never really tested it. It just slipped off the jack stand once and one side fell lol.
I guess we dont see it the same way. I have no desire to design anything like a race car, not even if i am capable of it. I designed it to the way that i thought it would LOOK the best, and still function how i needed it to. All i was really concearned about was keeping the axle under the truck, and getting a good amount of lift with no binding on anything. Like i said, it works for me. It may not be someone or everyone elses idea of what they want, or it may not be completely "pro built and designed" but that dosent matter to me really. It obviously could have been done completely different, there are plenty of ways it could have been done, and i know there are other ways it could have been done to make it preform better. But, I like it, it works great for what i do, and i love how it looks.
