Okay so I found out why I can't find my blinker flasher. There isn't one! WTF? I traced the blinker wires back. The white wire is a ground, the green wire with the stripe goes all the way to the column with nothing in between. It hasn't been spliced, or anything to bypass it. My blinkers didn't work when I got the truck, they just turn on and stay on.

Anyone have any ideas? This is weird. Anyone know how to wire a blinker flasher into the sysytem?

Seth, when you say " they turn on and stay on " do you mean they flash or the lights just come on and stay on constant, not blinking?

They just light up and stay lit. They don't flash at all, never have. I jst thought my flasher was bad, but I don't even have one.

so u have a grounding prob. maybe or a positive wire touching the frame or a bad connection for your flasher/signal relay,. corrosion could be a prob. too. im thinking the relay is shot....

Dude rear my posts. I don't have a flasher relay. Its simply NOT THERE!

The way a flasher works is it goes through your positive wire(on older cars). Like a chevy flasher only has 2 prongs on it so if you split you wire and hook one up to one sid and the other up to the otherside it should work. The way it works is real similar to a relay. when it gets a charge it triggers a "switch" once that switch connects it flashes then it loses charge and goes back to open then repeats its steps. The problem is finding out how much curren flasher you need so I would go to any automotive store and ask if they carry a universal electronic flasher. Most do have them in stock.. Simply follow the instructions wire it up and you should be good to go. If that doesnt work either than shoot me a email at crazy_cooper26@yahoo.com and I will pull techsoft on it and check diagrams Later, Cooper

Thanks man.

So should I put one on each side? They just run out the column loom and then split to both sides and go straight to the plug. I can get the universal flasher. I can get 6 different styles, I looked at them today.

ya, if you want them to blink on there own. i would put one in, on the input power to your blinker switch.. im pretty sure that would work

Cool, I'll give that a shot and see if it works.

I just can't understand why there wouldnt be a flasher in there from the factory? My manual shows it in the diagram.

maybe someone is good at splicing into factory harnesses:/..let me kno if it worked..
