I like tony's idea also. I have a tbird rear I would like to use but don't feel like getting rotors drilled every time I need to change them. So offering a brake kit, knuckle kit, etc would be cool but I know not exactly feasible for a shop in general.

Yes, I will be at the Forbidden show, probably at the Low Life booth...

I choose the 9" third member because it can be de-tuned to work with a 100hp or built for 1000hp.

The way the basic set-up would be is, 4wd S-10 front hubs (see pic.) The knuckle would be either left up to you or you could buy one of our knuckles. There would be a drive flange that would bolt in to the hub and accept either 930 CV's or 934 CV's. And those can be modified to have heavy duty cages for more travel and horsepower. The rearend housing will be a TIG welded sheetmetal housing that would be as narrow as possible to allow as much travel as can be "shoehorned" into your particular confines. The flanges for the rearend could be 28, 31, or 35 spline and 930 or 934 CV's as well. There would be an inboard brake option too. The axles would be custom built for your particular application.

What I am trying to do is supply parts so that you guys don't have to search all over the place trying to put a custom independent rear end together. I would also like to build an adapter for the Supra third members to convert them to 930 CV's with or without inboard rotor mounts. That way you could use your own third member and just use my knuckles. Basically providing options...

the problem is is that any kit is usually more affordable to buy being that its already done, the problem with your stuff is that no matter what you make, its all going to be priced like custom work, thats not a bad thing but you may as well just charge em to make a one off, unless you can find a way to make it affordable and very universal.

I understand what you are saying and yes my prices will be more expensive than a Supra or Rx rear end, but what I am trying to provide is affordable options to full on race parts. What if you wanted to use a Supra third member and build your own a-arms, what knuckles would you use? Using the stock stuff is a pain in the ass and doesn't look that good. What about axles, inboard brakes, CV's... I get calls about this stuff all the time. If I could offer everything, then you could buy one or two things to make your system yours.

true true, hey lets see if its affordable, im thinking that to pay for a complete back half its worth maybe 4k tops, thats from brakes to bag mounts?

Could i get those hubs in 5x5.5? And how much for the complete rear (building an f-150 when i get home).

Let me break it down a little (don't hold me to any of these prices yet...)

930 CV joints w/ boots $100 eaS-10 Hubs $175 eaDrive flanges $225 eaCustom axles $300 bothSupra third member $250?Wilwood Brakes $500

Now that is still under $2500. Depending on how much of the work you do yourself and what bags and shocks you choose, there is no reason you can't make it work for $4k.

Hey Max, I think this is a sweet idea. Well I hope some others do this as well, because I know im gonna go this way for sure. Just throw me some prices, and we'll be on our way.

How about you design and sell a kit to make rangers Control arm setups.....that would sell like hotcakes.
