i know many people that use gas with a good 110v welder and they dont have any problems. but i went and got the millermatic 210 (220-230v) weld to be safe. the millermattic 175 is basicaly the same thing just packaged different.

I love that welder. Hobart Handlers are badass too. My Lincoln handles 1/4" no prob w/ gas. Flux sux!

the miller XMT 350 and 60 series wire feeder i use at work is the stuff...... but at home i just have a miller 175..... unless you are going to be doing production work, all you need to mess with your truck at home is the miller 175........

i stockfloor trucks with a Miller 135 and Hobart 125, both work great, weld 1/4" with no problems.

My flux welds look nearly identical to my mig welds, just takes some practice

I got a Lincoln 140 and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Lays down some nice welds with 75/25 Gas. Haven't found anything over 1/4" that I needed to weld.

Hope to see ya at the show man

Also, to add. I bagged my truck with a 110 welder from Lowe's. The Lincoln 135. I havent' had anything break. I drive my truck daily and drive it rough. I made my own wishbone and everything with it. I got the 210 because I was building a frame and wanted something bigger. I think, if used right a 110 will bag most trucks, except 1 tons.
