6.5 diesel??

I googled the 6.5 and you can find a reman drop in for around 6 grand. I also found a crap ton of performance parts for one as well.

I found the wiring harness and computer on ebay fairly cheap as well.

This motor is way more efficient and powerful than the 454.

But do to the new standards of diesels and technology the Duramax is way better.

Hell I would look for a Cummins they probably arent that hard to drop in. I believe they are a fairly small motor and they are rock solid.

Brasky brings up a vaslid point....droppina cummiuns would be your best bet....there was article in one of the offroading mags a few years back about a burban witha cummins in it so its possible and sim sure its easy.
