My yota has a stock a/c pump converted to air and it needs seals again, it was ran to a switch and i hit it while driving and didnt realize. one from a junk yard is 100$ ive heard nothing but bad from stock onboard airs. would it be better to dish out the cash and run some zeniths and call it good

I would just buy a york style a/c pump i have never heard of any problems with them, except a little bit of oil in your air lines

You again?

There is nothing out there that can match the volume of an AC compressor. There is one major weak link on an air system and that is the compressors. So if you can fit one under the hood and are willing to pay for it, do it!

zeniths are ok but viairs are better i run the dual 480s on two of my rides i love them a 5 gallong tank fills so damn quick im going dual 480s on 10 gallons until i can afford another dual pack so it will fill quicker. but ive never had a problem and only one of my buddies ever had a problem n when he did it was cause he never ran a pressure switch since then new viairs no problems.

The early Ford AC compressors are the best ones to use, they are internaly lubricated so they don't pump oil out of the outlet too much at all.

isnt there an a/c pump out there similar inside to a belt driven supercharger? or have i lost my mind?

A supercharger IS a compressor. The difference is in the design of the supercharger. The old roots type is what is called a "positive displacement" and will build pressure while being driven at a constant rate. The centrifugal superchargers (the ones that look like turbos) don't build pressure like the roots type will. Like a vacuum, if you block air from moving through it, it stops working.

So, the looong way to the answer... Yes you can use some superchargers as an air compressor.
