which head unit

I sell head units daily at my work and I mainly see Alpine and Pioneer although Kenwood has been getting up there.

I have the new Clarion DXZ 775USB. Cometicly its boring but its feature packed with tons of options.
The volume and track selection is adjusted through slidetrack technology which means you slide a button instead of turning a knob or pushin it.
Sound quality is considerably nice for a Clarion deck. 6 volt preouts do help. You get fully functional crossovers on each preout even with adjustable slopes, phase, and "Q".... really neat.
I have my 4gig thumb drive hooked up to the usb port right now and it reads everything just fine. I think i have close to 1,000 songs on it.

My wife just bought an alpine. Not sure the model number but price was about 170 or so. Had 2 rca's. Not sure about usb but it did have a port where you can plug up a mp3 player

Alpine focused more on interfacing with Ipod this year so you can still do usb you just have to get the KCA-620M adapter an have a "AI net" Alpine Deck

well i just looked at the dehp6900ub and it is sweet i really like it, crutchfield has them for 269.99 but ebay has them for at the most 199.99, is ebay a good source to but from, i bought my rockford fosgate component set off of ebay and they work great, but what about head units

I have a panasonic touch screen in dash 6.5 cd/dvd and it is about the baddest unit that I have ever own. I was never a big fan of Panasonic, but I love this unit

i got the panasonic cq-c8300u and its badass. i just ordered the cq-c9700u and it looks similar, but it's this year's model. got it on ebay for $135 shipped brand new. 60wx4, 5v pre-outs, motorized, nice display with animations, nice unit.

i've always had panasonic and probably always will. took 5 years to have a minor problem. on on my 4th head unit from them. i always recommend them when i can.

i emailed the seller on ebay to get more info on the player, and but if i dont like what i hear i will probably buy for etronics.com but im goin to try onlinecarstereo to see their price
