which head unit

well i guess i should ask, all of you who have a pioneer how is the sound quality of yours?

with the same speakers in my truck I went from an Eclipse CD2000 to the Premier p690ub. The eclipse deck seemed louder, but the premier has a better sound quality. The deck is only a small part in SQ equation though.

ok this is a stupid question but between the dehp6900ub and the dehp690ub, i know that one is the pioneer and one is premier, but the features i have read seem to be the same....?

gold plated preouts and a little more voltage on them with a 2 year warranty.

well i have found another one i really like it the cq-c8803u from panasonic it is on sell for 299.99 on crutchfield, it is crazy powerful shakinplates what do u think about it? u seem to know ur stuff, thanks for all the replies

Go more towards Pioneer if you arent concerned about color screen. Whats your price range???? JVC has some crazy stuff out right now but its a bit pricey.

well i ordered the panasonic, i called a friend who had a pioneer and a panasonic that were similar to those and he said the panasonic was the best hands down, i knew he wouldnt bs me either, he puts his system through hell, he had to send his pioneer back 3 time in one year due to the rca's quit puttin out signal, so i really like the panasonic and like i said i had my eye on them i appreciate everyone's replies, thanks to u shakinplates for ur time, this sounds corny but its good to know there is a website where people actually help other people

also thanks to all u others too, ill let yall know what i think about it when i get it installed probably should be in by next week hopefully

Either one is a great choice. Panasonic has a better signal in their decks with 5v outs so it should hookup real nice.
