ok guys, your all over the map with suggestions, some good, some not so good,..... first all, you will never buff out 600 grit scratches, that is what you use to prep your substrate before paint, whether it be the old paint or primer,...... and i have had cloudy spot appear in paint jobs before, but only in black, and come to find out, it was caused by putting the clear on too soon before the paint flashed off sufficiently.... with that said, its hard to tell if that is indeed the case here. So the next cost effect step is to make sure it is just sand scratches not fully buffed out all the way.... so, take some 1200 on a foam hand sanding pad,and lots of water and go over the car to make it an even textured job then 1500 same way and then start buffing, you dont have to get crazy sanding it completely flat, its not a show car, unless the customer is paying for that kind of job using the medium compound then a fine compound with a polishing pad and then see what happens.... if that doesnt fix the problem, it will have to be resprayed on the areas that are cloudy..... and leave 15 -20 mins after base is sprayed b4 clearing, unless its like a garage job where theres no air movement, i would give it a half hour then clear!!! JUST MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION GUYS !
