I went ahead and shelled out the $625 or whatever I paid back in december of last year. The arms were for an 02 dodge ram 4 door. Here within the last 2 months or so I had one snap and twist on me while driving down the road. I figured it was some random off the wall happening and called the company to see what I should do. Ended up talking to a guy named derrick who told me to send it in and they would analyze the problem and let me know if they could warranty it or not. I decided against that because it would have taken extra weeks that I didnt have to not have a vehicle and shelled out another 250 for the arm. Well here we are again just weeks later and the arm on the pass side breaks this time in the exact same spot on the arm. I took the arm to a local metal fab shop and he commented on how thin the steel guage was and that it needed to be thicker to support the weight of the truck. But as of now I have a truck sitting in my driveway with a broken control arm, a messed up front fender and tire and the door is out of line from the arm breaking. Needless to say this is not good and now I have to get another arm, as well as atleast $1000 in damages done to the truck from the faulty arm. Has anyone else had this problem? If I had known how much extra is was going to end up costing me for the best product on the market I would have bought the cheap shit and prayed to god that it didnt break and put me in the same problem as I am in now. Thanks and any comments or questions are welcomed.

I just want whatever I buy to work the way it is expected to work and not break on me. The metal is thinner than a 16 gauge.

they are only 16 awg? I wouldnt even install them,I thought most were made of 1/8 inch tubing and 1/4 inch plate for the mounts

My Ekstensive arms worked great. Mine are pretty heavy duty. Not sure on the exact specs but the tubing is atleast 3/16 if not 1/4. When I make lowers, I only use 1/4 material. Uppers are a little different but lowers take a beating. Sorry to hear about your misfortune man. Hope it all works out.

Isnt there moto "Bagging the best & fixing the rest"? Sounds like they would fix the arms w/o any problems.....and should fix your truck since the problem happened twice. They build some very nice vehicles, surely they could take care of a customers problem....since you bought another arm after the first one broke.

Well this time I might as well send it back and let them look at it. No metal shop in town would even put a sleve in it because of how thin it was. Even the guys that the old hotrodders recommended wouldnt touch it. I just want to be back on the road again ya know. I'd rather it happen to me than someone else though and I thank god that both times it's happened ive been going under 20 mph on a side street and not doing 70 on the highway. This time scared me because earlier that day I was on the highway doing highway speeds and then as soon as I leave the house after that it broke on me.
