Looks like one side was cracked before its snapped...just due to the one part of the break having a lot of rust on it compared to the other half of the break.

Metal is thin but def not 16 gauge thin. Its probably 1/8 just going by the pics though that'd be my guess. Definetly not something I would trust to use, especially on a big truck like that.

wow, i have to say, i didnt know if i should believe it or not untill i saw a pic.....but holy shit, thats horrable.

something is weird tho, DOM should have a coating on the inside, and shouldnt rust like that on the inside...... That looks like 1.25 - .125 wall or .120 wall.

something is strange about this.....

Definatly looks like it was cracked before it broke..not the rust. Also does the bag position have anything to do with where the stress is on the arm...Sounds like you just need to take em off and send them out. I havent heard of it happeneing before.

awg refers to american wire gauge not sheetmetal gauge.

That shit looks like pipe, not tubing...

That's what I was looking at too. The fresh brake has clean metal and the other section looks like rust has made its way into the tubing. I can't really tell from the pics, but I don't see any welding seam either.
