The tools are hit and miss, but you can tell the quality before you buy them. You get what you pay for. I always check the quality of the HF tool before i drop good coin on it somewhere else. The worst part about Harbor Freight is the inbred staff that is usually rude and missing teeth. I always find it easier to just look for what-ever I need rather than asking someone where it is, but when a employee volunteers to help me, maybe they shouldnt act like they are doing me a favor by leading me all around the store looking for the actual item. I can do that by myself. Harbor Freight, alright tools, shit staff. Thanks for the coupons Seth.
horrible freight tools have their place, if you need something just to use one time, and you are willing to struggle with it all day to get the job done, but nobody who needs their tools to make their money for the day is going to use harbor freight. its a matter of what works for you, i have friends that are willing to return a tool 6 times, and risk a trip to the emergency room to save a few bucks. There is a reason a good bandsaw costs $1000. use one and you will see they cut straight, they have settings for the feed rate, the vise works smoothly and is easy to use and adjust, they roll nice on the floor without the wheels locking up or falling off, and the blades do not slip off. when you add up all the time you spend pissing around with a junk bandsaw you would probably get done faster with a hacksaw.
