Its not that hard, just time consuming. I know at about $50 or so a hour and about 2 days to make something thats good looking and functional your looking at about $800 in design work...And thats on the cheaper end.

I built a front frame clip for my Astro based off of '77-'96 GM B-body dimensions and geometry. I took many measurements, drew it out, built a jig and started building. Be sure to know your critical measurements such anti-dive angles of the control arms, caster angle, etc. I'm not finished, I have yet to get into the steering system, bag mounts, motor mounts and gusseting to complete the front clip. I'll throw up a couple pics on my profile, but I don't think they'll be there long.

Sean, it's for a 72 f100. Seth, the c10 clips are exact width of my trucks, maybe we can talk. Are you talking full front clip or just crossmember/arms/steering? And yes, I have considered a fat man kit, I just don't have the money up front to do that. I figured if I could build the frame, I can get suspension pieces as affordable by me.

The cross member and frame rails will be welded together. I want to set it up to run rack and pinion steering. All you'll need to acquire is from the spindles out. This is also going to be a good while out, because I want working on the Toyota stuff first.

understood about the yota stuff first. im waiting on an email from sean tomorrow. good luck on the builds seth, wish i had your skill/knowledge.

You know you could always get a C10 cross member and lay new rails down into it. It unbolts from the frame rails, and you could get tube arms for it later and it would still look clean. Check out KEEF's profile on here, his Suburban is done like this. Looks good. Steve at Fab Werks did one too.
