There is plenty of room to run 2x4 under the cab and still bd 4 inches. The closest point is over 4 inches away...

are you sure?..its been a min. since i have done a bodydrop on this style truck but if i remember right i thought the frame was kind of close to the bottom side of the cab like maybe an inch of clearance but maybe i need to call my buddy and look under his truck again..

2x3 3/16 is the way to go. i have done a few and that is what i use. i used 1/4 once and found that it was a bit springy feeling. i have a 93 crew cab, and i even used 3/16 on that and it is 4 inches and on the doors. just my 0.02 brian

for the exhaust just cut holes and run it through those

i say use 2x3 and it will be fine, li 4 life
