are you sure?..its been a min. since i have done a bodydrop on this style truck but if i remember right i thought the frame was kind of close to the bottom side of the cab like maybe an inch of clearance but maybe i need to call my buddy and look under his truck again..



Im pretty sure... I just did another using 2x4 to the rockers (3in BD) and I had quite a bit more room under there... If u dont then u might have to channel a little bit in certain spots...

any updates on this topic? Single cab truck is 3in to rockers so use 2x4, and 4in will lay door using 2x3 tubing?

i just got done doing a sfbd on a 91 silverado using 2x4 and bodydroped it 3" and it had some good clearance between the frame and cab soo im thinkin i can go atleast 3 1/2 or more with useing the 2x4 and then if i went 4" i wuld use the 2x3 just to be safe so i didnt have to channel the floor
