sweet man thanks for thanks for the help that allows me to understand it a little better....Originally posted by h22wagon

well in my wagon i had a 2 pump 4 dump settup. you will get MOST of the moves, but you will not be able to LIFT lift one side or one conrer at a time. i ran a number 11 marzoochi pumphead and 4 optima blue tops at 48 volts. you can run down to 24 but it will be pretty slow. i would stick with 36 volts(3 bateries) or 48 volts(4 batteries)

i ran porhopper pro x pumps but were not very happy with them, i wished i spent the extra for the comp pumps. my next settup will be all black magic besides the accumulators.

accumulators are a bulb lookin thing that is made of steel and has a blatter in the middle. one side had charged nitrogen that can be regulated for different rides. and the other side is the hydraulics fluid that pushes on that blatter. i had parkers charged at 300psi

oh and my black magic cyliders were great. it is always a good idea to hone out your cylinders before you put them on. basically the cylinders are made out of pipe and they done really smooth out the inside surface to good so with the accumulators your seals will be moving all the time on this surface and will wear out in a few months, but if you hone them out(easy) they will last a lot longer.

hope that helped you.

also check out layitlow.com you will find tons of info. and there is a book you can order called "the science of hydraulic suspention" that is really good for a person in your place(wanting to learn). it doesnt get to crazy but has great info for someone that wants go get into hydros but doent know where to start.

any other ?'s just ask. and if anyone has there own twist of whatever i typed let everyone know so we all can learn. i dont claim to be a pro or anything. i just learned most of this the hard way. my car was the first thing i ever rode in with hydros, or adjustible suspention for that matter

so you want to hone them out so there smoother on the inside of the cylinder? Otherwise you have to rebuild them more often? How often should you take them out to rebuild them with new seals n such IF you hone them out?

In the laid out pics of your wagon is that as low as the cylinders let you go or is it the wheels n tires that were holding you up? Were the tops of your shock towers cut out to let the upper arm come threw?

Did you install your whole setup yourself?
How do you mount them up front? do you make your own fabbed brackets n such? You got any pics of what the cylinder looks like mounted in the front of your wagon? Im guessing the front setup on your car is pretty similiar to what my 97 accord is...or am i wrong?

I can turn just fine, I get about 9 in. of lift in the front, about 12 in. in the rear. I have no problem getting up to factory height. If I wanted to run a larger wheel, I wouldn't have any problem clearing it to turn. Do what you want with the suspension. I like my bags, next time I might try juice. I don't know. I just like being able to look at a pressure gauge and know how far off of the ground I am, and that my car is aligned (or atleast close) at ride height. I do agree they both have their ups and downs, I'm not going to tell you what to use. I will tell you if you have any questions hit me up I'll help with any thing that I can.

i hate when people say bags are better then juice ... they both suck in there own ways .. you roll on bags and unibody drop that honda .. your first prob will be that you cant turn .. you wont get the lift. unless your only doing 17s or something .besides juice would lift higher and ride better then air..but thats up to you .. i have seen it done both ways

hey drew i returned your im message. i didnt know it was a copy of you post on this thread. oh well. if you want to share it just copy and past it.

and chris that is the one thing i would like about air. hydros you got to stick you head out to see where you are in the begining, you get used to it after a while. and the rear i just look in the side merror and you can see your wheel if its not stock, stock ones sit in to far.
