this is off subject as usual so sorry but,

Seth, since Max is a genius and it seems you are on your way to becoming one, why dont you try and get a job working at Bio? take a couple of years learning under Mr. Fish himself and then open up your own shop like you want! assuming Max is hiring of course! sorry for putting both of yall on the spot, it was just a thought! dont kill me for saying that please!

Lol. I'd love to. But I don't think Max needs someone slowing him down. I also don't have enough money saved up to make a transition to So Cal. He has been kind enough to become a mentor of sorts however, and answer just about any question I have. I just call or leave a message when I have an idea. I appreciate that, as much as I can. I take notes when I talk to Max, lol. Talking to him gave me a lot of ideas, and I think it will help me become a better fabricator. But only time will tell.

That may sound gay and all, but thats the truth.

I've said it a few times before, but when I was a young padawan learner (StarWars refrence ) I had a few guys that were always willing to answer my questions, as best they could. I had a lot of questions, so I tried to spread them around a bit, but reguardless... If you are willing to ask and are genuinely interested, I will do what I can to answer your questions.

grade 8 bols are strong, but will break if they recieve enough force to them. Grade 5 will bend before it breaks. Granted the G5 is weaker, strength wise, but it would at least let you know there is a problem, by bending, before it broke. Either way, G5 is strong enough for suspension, but G8 would work also(overkill, but that can be a good thing).

True... sort of. assuming that the bolt is being properly used. Most minitruckers don't know how to properly use a bolt so they are stressd in a way that they break prematurely. A grade 8 bolt is FAR superior to a grade 5. A grade 5 may bend first, but a grade 8 won't break untill it is stressed to a point that the grade 5 would never live at. And typically something else will show signs of fatigue before the grade 8 bolt goes.
