im gonna get hated for this but, Im not really a fan of plane jane. I respect the work, but not a fan of that kind of theme, orange county choppers way over did that.
So I dont think it is up to par to be a legendary truck like "last look" or "Farfromluzen".

shit stirer! lolorange county choppers is totaly playin it out but thats thinkin outside the box being diferent. somthin most mini truckers dont do . like your truck its got the played out flame theme witch still doesn't look bad. every one has to have some kinda theme to make a truck look good or else you end up with the over acs. autozone/jc whitney theme look...that most people in my town have lol.shawns truck may be liked by many or hated by few but like the fortune cookie i got at the chineese buffet said. Chad I would have to agree with you on what you said. I can respect the work but never thought it was one for all time! I do remember the first time I ever saw the truck because I remembered this guy telling me about it over the phone. So it was greenville, MS in Kmart parking lot on Friday for this show called Showfest, we pulled in I asked about the truck and then asked about the 5lug, said he did all the 5lug work. I thought that was odd since I remember this guy I built a set of 5lug hubs for saying about a bomber truck with exhaust out the side of bed. So I asked to check it out, I reached around to the back side of the hubs to realize that was the exact one I built a set of hubs for since I knew my work. I went back to ask this guy if some guy on SSM by the name of LaynRockers built the hubs, he got all pissy about it told me I didn't know what I was talking about and he did it himself!(I still have his name and shipping info). So I never really had respect for the owner. Truck had a detailed paint job and that is all it had going for it from what I seen of the truck in person and mags. I respect the work in the truck, not a big fan of the truck, nor the owner due to being lied to in the first 10 seconds of meeting him then a few mins later being told I "didn't know what I was talkn about" from the owner of the truck (Shawn) Originally posted by suckafree

WOW..i saw the truck in person having never heard about it and I was VERY impressed. I think the truck is a PERFECT example of what this sport should be about. ORIGINAL...I dont compare it to OCC at all esp. if you consider the time it was built.
I remember speaking to the owner and he seemed to be cool. On the other hand I remember John from the early days of SSM and this is the first negative comment I have ever heard from him....so i def beleive his story.

truck is badass for sure..but i dont consider it "legendary" or a trendsetter or anything like that..it was just a VERY nicely done themed truck...

like what he said...dont need billet to make a show truck....or chrome ...or tweed and leather ....i think the trucks badass...neverseen it in person thos ...but still why do you need billet ot chrome to be a show truck
