Quit being little girlsNope there aint nothing on my profile. Some of you know me, most of you know the trucks I have built.I am from the old school. I built my first mini in 93 when most of you were still pissing in your panties.Get over yourselves.stop calling everyone a hater when they dont like what you have.I love auto sports of all kinds. My son is being raised around cars, not minis or hotrods or lowriders or rice rockets, or anything else, just custom fuxking automobiles.I hope he gets half the joy out of it as I did.His grandpa (my dad) dragged a 68 goat (if you have to ask get out of the sport) in 1969. He met his grandma (my mom) that way.
Stop Quoting Wyatt Earp or Strange or whoever.
DO YOU!!! Thats what it has been about since day one!
I dont think most of you guys get it. Who the fuck cares who built your built your 5 lug conversion. Tell ya what I build cars that make covers, layinrockers builds every hub and plainjane comes up with all my ideas lucky brew puts them together. makes me cool.
Why do the guys in Cali care what someone in Indiana says? Why do you care whether someone likes what you built?why do you care what someone says they helped with whether they did it or not? Is someone really gonna say, "damn I was about to take my truck to plain jane but someone else did his 5 lug conversion"(whether they did or not)? You wonder why other members of this sport dont respect you, not mini-truckin but auto sports altogether, this is why!!!!
Trust me I have been on both sides of the fence!!!!!
PlaneJane is a theme truck I have shown it to people in the hotrod & chopper world who would otherwise laugh at minitruckin and they have said man thats cool!and it isbut its a OCC "style" theme truck and there is nothing wrong with that, it is COOL AS HELL!!
Get it together guys, if this is your passion then show us what you got and dont worry about what other people say!
I remember when Loco64 starting touring the hotrod circuit, it was the best intergration ever.50 y/o with hotrod guys said "damn these guys got it going on" and a whole new world opened. You are not a lifestyle, you are a hobby! You are not a family you are friends with common interests. As a matter of fact, at least one of you was inspired by my first truck so which one of you (family members) will pay my $2700 house payment this month?
When I started there was no internet, just guys/ladies who built rides and we loved every day of it. We would roll into Tumbleweed restaurants cruise night 40 deep (40 ford behind an 82 cutlass behind an 90 S-10) and have fun. Average Joe doesnt know the difference, they just see something cool. And we loved every minute.
Quit being sheep and following the flock. We started by people wanting to express themselves and doing there own thing.
I havent seen much original in a long time. This doesnt meen there isnt lots of nice trucks just not much originality. Plain Jane was something original, not copied!Plain Janes owner really pulled a bitch move with his thread. He had a chance and blew it. Someone (not me) will be next, will you blow it?DO YOU!!!! We all have a creative bone, flex it!
This doesnt make much sense but I dont know what else to say. I go to LRM events, hotrod events, minitruck shows, NOPI, you name it,anything with a motor and I have never seen so many guys trying to act cool acting like sissies in my life.
Remember, the whole point to a custom auto is to express yourself, not to impress others, not to drag for others, not to outdo others.
EDIT:Remember, until I find a publisher, there is no handbook for building a custom ride
AMEN.
