dammit. yeah, that's what i was thinking. I was hoping to be able to drive this while i put the dime back together, guess i'll have to deal with this first. I knew what i should do, i just needed a kick in the ass, lol. Dave, you're right, i knew on the way back it was going to be a lot more work than i wanted, but i guess that's why i got it so cheap. Oh well, here we go. No one answered the question about the bags, though, can i fit re8's in there? And does anyone know if i can fit re8's on the front? I can take pics of the front if anyone can tell from pics, or how do i measure it (width wise, that is). Does anyone know where i can get just the bottoms of the 8 piece step notches? Or should i just completely re-notch it? Dammit again.

Re-8's will fit in the front, I had them in my dually with the stock arms and now with the aim arms. they fit with no problem

you'd have to measure jumbo.. re8's are 8".. so if you have like 8.25 or 8.50 inches of room.. use them. just use a stiffer shocks.. 8's are super soft with a stock shock.

you remember the pics of the rear of my nissan man. it was horrid. i rode it till it broke like i told ya the other night.

Since your intentions for the burban is for a family ride, then i'd def pull it apart and go through it, front to back. redo the front end.. if you drag 'flat' or want it to lay flat, Z the front end. Then redo the rear end. That ways its done and solid and throw the fam in and roll!

Quick question. Its kind of hard to see from the picture but are the upper link tabs welded to the diff. Few people can do this properly(welding to cast) Im admitting I cannot. In my opinion this would be more dangerous than the shock mount.

IF YOU DROVE IT HOME, DRIVE IT MORE! BE CAREFUL AND JUST DRIVE IT. DONT WORRY ABOUT IT! AND DONT LET OTHER PEOPLES COMMENTS MAKE YOU LEARY. ITS POSSIBLE THE SHOCK MOUNTS WITH NO NUTS MIGHT BE THREADED,

From the work shown i dont think the builder would have taken the time to tap that shock mount. That really sucks man. Its gettin harder to trust people these days.

amongst everything i've seen in these pics, I noticed a hanger....nuff said.

the hangar was me, lol. I noticed all this stuff when i was getting under the truck to tack the muffler back up (which fell down last time i drove it), and when i saw all this i thought "no way in hell am i going to be driving it anytime soon" so i tied the muffler up with the hangar to keep it from falling on me while i was under there.
