this is what one of my old rodder buddies emailed me today in regards to coilovers....

>>> THE FIRST THIS YOU NEED TO KNOW IS THE WEIGHT OF THE TRUCK. IF YOU DON'T GET THE PROPER SPRING WEIGHT ON THE SHOCKS THEY WILL BEAT YOU TO DEATH. GO TO TRUCK SCALES IN GALLATIN WEIGH COMPLETE TRUCK THEN BAK OFF TILL JUST FRONT END IS ON SCALES AND THEN DO THE SAME WITH THE REAR. YOU WILL KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO THEN. WHEN YOU GET THAT DONE CALL PRO SHOCK 770-449-4440 AND TALK TO CHARLIE POWELL. TELL HIM THAT I TOLD YOU TO CALL. HE WILL BUILD THE RIGHT SHOCKS FOR YOU AND YOU WILL RIDE SMOOTH. HE DID THE SHOCKS ON THE RED '49 MERC "MER-RODDER" WE BUILT FOR SPURLOCK AND BF-GOODRICH SEVERAL YEARS BACK. REMEMBER? THE ONE ON THE COVER OF HOT ROD AND IN ALL THE BFG ADS? ANYWAY, CHARLIE IS A HELL OF A GOOD GUY. SEE YA LARRY

im young and have had to push my yota off a speed bump or two lol.. even drug a hole in the gas tank lol

i busted an oil pan on the way to minitruckin nats in pigeon forge back in 1992! those were the days! tearing your shit up on purpase is stupid (ie, trailer balls / drag blocks) but doing in on accident (ie, plain static & low as fuk) was the shit!!!!!!!

im young but ive still had to use a scissor jack before to get my rocker off of a pothole. and then slide a floor jack under it after the scissor jack to push it back. i was blocking the whole road too

I'm going to second the coilover front and 4-link with coilovers in the rear. If setup properly that will ride better than stock and it'd still be hammered. Anyone remember that red, 88-98 fullsize chevy, short box, standard cab, with cadillac front clip? It had coilovers on it and it was bad ass. It was features a long ass time ago. I think it had colorado customs wheels on it, 18's and 20's.

Does anyone have any pics of this ???
