Hope it all works out! I plan on having some of the similar mods done on my Ram just haven't gotten to that point of the build. Good luck with the drop!

the same way we did back in the day VERY CAREFULLY ......

btw i say go for it ive thought about doin the same thing to my spare 720... nothing beats 2" drop spindles w. no torsion bars on 185-60-14's (it didnt last long I had to put the torsion bars back in) or havin to go over & help nurse ur buddys mazda over the speed bump that was holdin him hostage

i would say tien flexion coil overs with the 32 positions adjustable dampening my friend has them in his drift car and it rides awesome plus the tire is barely off the fender and it never hits.
just find the ones that lokk like they would be the easiest to fabe up mounts for

i've wanted to do this for years. I second the coilover notion.

Many well equipped euro sedans run high end H&R, Bilstein, Koni, B&G coilovers, etc. and still get a fantastic control and ride (though firm) without being shit ride most of us old school minitruckers were used to.

Hell look at any true road race car, they are set up stiff as hell with coilovers and run spoilers, air splitters, and underbody aerodynamics like 1-2" off the ground.

get the right spring rate and adjustable shock combo and it'll be a blast.

Plus you'll still look lower than any bagged (non body dropped) truck at any driveable height, and you'll always be that low. period.

To do your homework I'd look towards existing coilover applications for rear drive sports cars with similar weight, size, and weight distribution. Take a few cues on spring rates and rebound from folks who tune and race those cars and you'll probably end up with a damn good combo.
