yes i did. I caught hell about it too. Half the teachers up there are dicks if your in to minis. Some are cool as hell though if you get to know them. If you do go there, hit up Mr. Robarge, he is cool as hell and he's a fucking genius.

yeah Mr. Robarge is a cool guy, but most of them are dicks and really hate on mini truckers. I know b/c me and baker trucks was side by side in the shop and we got bitched at every day.

in my opinion in a hands on field such as body work there is no piece of paper that is going to get your the experience that working hands on for a few years will get you. if you are willing to take a loan out to go to school why dont you take a loan out and pay off a few fucked bills you have such as that tacoma and go get a lesser paying job. no bodyshop wants a kid who wants to get paid $20.00 (for example) an hour who has only sat in class and fixed a few dents in a state of the art facility.

like phillip said, you go to these classes and they use laser tables and what not and when you get to a normal shop they have an old frame table a tape measure a few hooks in the floor and tell you to get at it. school for a hands on labor intensive job is not the whole shibang where you are a master when you get it out. you learn alot of tips of the trade in school and how to work the main tools, but when you start working on fixing a bent unibody or something experience is going to win everytime over some body who has just got out of school and is use book knowledge and a bit of experience.

in other words you are going to have alot of trouble getting a high paying job when you get out of school also. if you did get one you will probably have trouble keeping it since most shops want production so you must move fast which is where experience comes in. especially if you got a job in a commision shop where you make money off of the job ( a percentage) if you are slow you still get paid X amount.

that is my take on it all. sorry i didnt post sooner but i was out of posts for the month of Decemeber.

on one last note my cousin went to NADC and he said it blew and my brother is an Auto Diesel Mechanics teacher at a high school vocats school and he doesnt even promote it.
