The air dumps from the valves into an empty tank. the empty tank has a check valve to kep the pressure low enough so the truck will still dump if the collection tank is full. the compressor draws from that tank and the atmosphere to fill a seperate tank. Its basically a turbo on the compressor. I talked to the kid at carlisle a few years ago and thats about all I remember. In fact this might all be wrong its been a while. either way its alot of lines and valves to get a lil more outta a viair.
