i understand the illness of the ones who has vehicles at the shop , but here are some things you may want to think about before reporting it stolen
#1 if you report it stolen and give directions on where to possibly find the vehicle , and they do find it , the location of the vehicle is where you took it to to have work done and im sure some kind of papertrail follows the vehicle being there , so there for the vehicle is not stolen and push come to shove if the law is involved you / owner of vehicle will have to settle any debts over the issue before the shop releases it , so going in with an attitude isnt getting you anywhere , by the time the bill is figured there is some things that im sure any shop could add to a bill to say more work was done , and technically by law , you would have to pay before vehicle is released
#2 if you claim it stolen and they find it where you dropped it off , then you are filing a false claim , so now not only is the law looking at you , but possibly insurance companys
#3 although it has been some time since contacting him , other means of contact needs to be approached before flying off the deep end , like his other job of driving a towtruck , someone knows how and where to get in contact with him , if you pin him down he cant
b@ll$hit you around anymore , that may involve you taking a day off work and spending an entire weekend at the shop to track him down
#4 i have no connection with hellbent , nor anyother shop besides my own and am currently working on a vehicle that was there i am finishing it up , the work they did is super quality , yes it may have taken them some time to do the work but you will not be disappointed in the quality ,
#5 a couple of friends of mine currently have vehicles there so i 100% understand the hard feelings ( terrance , david , kyle ) kyle opened a shop since they had his car 5 years ago , i opened mine a year and a half ago , so we wasnt open is the main reason we arnt working on them as of yet
i will be glad to try and get some info for you from someone that has info on how to contact him (rodney)
hate this has happened to many people , but cant always give bad reps to local n.c. shops some of us actually do try to build good buisness reps and keep it that way
