You don't need a forklift dog. Back the flatbed/trailer right up to the table and drag it off the table onto the trailer. That's how I got my truck off and on my table. Works like a charm....you can get a come along at your local Harbor Freight for $9.99 that will do the truck.

i understand the illness of the ones who has vehicles at the shop , but here are some things you may want to think about before reporting it stolen
#1 if you report it stolen and give directions on where to possibly find the vehicle , and they do find it , the location of the vehicle is where you took it to to have work done and im sure some kind of papertrail follows the vehicle being there , so there for the vehicle is not stolen and push come to shove if the law is involved you / owner of vehicle will have to settle any debts over the issue before the shop releases it , so going in with an attitude isnt getting you anywhere , by the time the bill is figured there is some things that im sure any shop could add to a bill to say more work was done , and technically by law , you would have to pay before vehicle is released
#2 if you claim it stolen and they find it where you dropped it off , then you are filing a false claim , so now not only is the law looking at you , but possibly insurance companys
#3 although it has been some time since contacting him , other means of contact needs to be approached before flying off the deep end , like his other job of driving a towtruck , someone knows how and where to get in contact with him , if you pin him down he cant b@ll$hit you around anymore , that may involve you taking a day off work and spending an entire weekend at the shop to track him down
#4 i have no connection with hellbent , nor anyother shop besides my own and am currently working on a vehicle that was there i am finishing it up , the work they did is super quality , yes it may have taken them some time to do the work but you will not be disappointed in the quality ,
#5 a couple of friends of mine currently have vehicles there so i 100% understand the hard feelings ( terrance , david , kyle ) kyle opened a shop since they had his car 5 years ago , i opened mine a year and a half ago , so we wasnt open is the main reason we arnt working on them as of yet

i will be glad to try and get some info for you from someone that has info on how to contact him (rodney)
hate this has happened to many people , but cant always give bad reps to local n.c. shops some of us actually do try to build good buisness reps and keep it that way

Your correct on that one. Their work is was top notch. No crooked frame like the jody hall follower claimed. Top Notch. Thats why mine was there and Coles and Terrances, and yours. I just hate this happened too. I just wish my truck was done. Your truck is right across the street from where you dropped it off. All of our vehicles are there. Just not finished.LOL

4more days, thanks for your insight on the situation. Although I have done much looking into this before "going in the deep end" About 2 months ago when I lost contact and numbers were disconnected I contacted the Concord Sherif and told them the situation. Knowing that my truck was at that location, I was advised I can still call it stolen because that would be the only way to retrieve my property for the police to gain access to the place. So all that is just fine, believe me. Further more settling any debts won't be necissary. I paid more then half of the full cost upfront. I'm not expert on the cost of things, but the truck is not even 1/2 way completed. everything still needs to be stripped fully welded before it can even be put back together. I have called many custom shops showing picturs and explained progress to get a quote on how much that would cost. The reason for this is the law suit. So therefore, I have paid more then what has been completed, so no debts being paid is needed, on the contrary, I am owed money.

Thanks for everyone's insight and help, I appreciate it. I am just looking to get a hold of him so I can get my truck back, because at this point it is obvious he has no intentions of finishing it, so I need to find alternate means.

And yes the work is beyond amazing, there has never been any question in that. This is why I have waited this long and been this patient for him to finish it. But when you go to the shop 2 months after your last visit to find absolutely nothing done to the truck in 2 months, it's obvious nothing else will be done.

now i disagree with this statement , from experience , i own a resteration shop , i have a 69 chevelle in my shop and the customer visits weekly , words out of his own mouth to me was you have had my car over 7 months and nothing has happened , then he actually visited the shop everyday for a week and saw what was being done to his car and at the end of every day the vehicle looked the very same as it did in the morning , the whole time he was here and saw it being worked on , now that color is on the car and its getting reassembled he can see a big improvment , after he was here that week he didnt understand that there is a lot more work that was done that was not visible , so for you to say NOTHING was done to your truck , was you there from opening till close since the last time visible work to you was done ?

not taking sides but maybe just trying to let you see the shops side of things , and this again is coming from a shop owner

well Ben that wasnt the whole reason but it weighed in. I moved four hours away from the meeting area and couldnt attend meeting like I should. Then I didnt like some of the attitude given at our show by certain people. Thats a differnt story though. Ow well like goes on
