ranger rear end

I jus put the bed on my truck and when its layed completly out the tops of my tires touch the insides of my bedside. I know the obvious thing to do is the have the rear end narrowed, but i only need like 1/2 inch on each side so i was wandering if there is any other things i could do to get the the space i need instead of having the rear end narrowed

swap to a toyota axle...it should be narrower

He probably wants to keep the same bolt pattern? Yota should work if it is narrower.

o ya forgot about that but isnt the rear realy easy to convert.....i mean shoot i was just throwin it out there LoL

yea its narrower. what year ranger do you have? if you dont care for the abs sensor, a gen I(83-8 rear end is narrower then a 93 up. not by much tho.

if your going to go through the trouble of swapping out rear ends wouldn't it be just as easy or easier to have that one narrowed?

or maybe you could have some machined off the the back sides of your wheels?

if you only need a 1/2 inch, just pull the bedsides...the offroader's do it all the time... and gain as much as 2 inches...and 1/2 inch would barely be noticeable...

yea but his is rubbing were the bed starts to curve in towards the top. i would assume.
