Bagged front set up, pros and cons, whats the "best"

So whats the "best" front set up to go with? I have a 92 crew cab chevy, gonna be running 22" semi's, already got my C&C rear, now I just need to figure out how I should set up the front suspension..

What is the best handling front suspension set up for these trucks? Is it better to switch over to single wheel 2500 stuff with longer control arms or what?

I recently put, in the last 7000 miles, new spindles, new rotors bearings and calipers in front as well as all new steering components from the gear box to the tie rod ends ball joints bushings and everything else! I would hate to have wasted the money but I want the best handing set up because I tow a very large boat with this truck.

well, alot of it is personal preferance. but, alot of guys run the re7s or re 8s in the front of there dually.some guys run the he8 but in my opinion thats a bit overkill. the he 8 is dual port bag. some guys just plug one port off, they just run em due to handling a higher pressure. both of those bags are great.

yeah I am one of those overkill guys... I like to over engineer and over brace my shit... I am super paranoid lol. But what I don't want to do is over engineer it to the point that it costs me ride quality. Right now I am running a western chassis 6/8 drop with belltech street performance shocks and well it drives like a brick... I have been told that a proper bag set up can make it ride much better.

The reason for running 8's is it requires less pressure for the same lift, allowing a smoother ride?? The more pressure the more harsh the ride, with 7's you have to run more pressure to lift the weight.

Re 7s or 8s in the front will be fine. A good set of shocks along with a sway bar will also be necessary for a smooth ride
You can keep all of the new components you installed with no problems clearance wise (may need to trim inner fender lips). The 3/4 ton stuff is mainly used for bodied trucks.

Why do some bags require less air to get same lift? Is it the ply rating or size?

The more volume area inside the bag, the less pressure it needs to lift a given weight. A 7" X 14" bag vs a 8" X 14" bag the 8" has 1" more volume of area and will require less air to lift the same weight as the 7" bag.

Are your spindles 2 or 3"? I had a set of western chassis and they were only 2" had to replace them with a set of djm 3"ers
