"Prerunner" Mazda?

I've been thinking about building an '86-'93 Mazda truck. A 2wd, lifted like a prerunner / stadium racer. I know there are tons of parts for Toyota and Nissan but has anyone ever seen any parts for the mazdas? (wide bed sides and fenders, extended front "A"-arms, etc.)

GAYYYYYYYY those things have zero power why would you want to do that? thats like ricing out a geo metro

whos to say a 302 or similar doesnt get put in....seeing as how desert runners have close to 600+ horse...

But to answer your question, as far as I know there isn't much out there as far as suspension goes. And if there isn't suspension parts, I doubt you will find prerunner style fenders.

But, I had a few people ask me about building a long travel front suspension. I thought about it, but there just wasn't enough interest/people seemed flaky.

If you're determined, and love Mazdas enough, theres no reason you couldn't find a shop to build you a nice long travel setup. Just be prepared to shell out the cash.

Yeah, your not going to find a whole lot of parts for pre runner mazda's sorry to say. But with some innovative thinking, and a bit of deisgn know how it shouldn't be a problem to custom fab something. I mean a 4 link rear would work, with long travel shocks, and some custom rated springs...and as for the front custom control arms, perhaps talk to max at biokustumz about those... and maybe talk to grant fab about some one off steel pre runner fenders...

I live in the desert and have never seen a mazda pre runner. I really think it would be alot of work just to have the mazda body on it. If your going for looks i say go for it. but your going to get your ass handed to you by anything out there.

I'm really not building it to impress you or anyone else for that matter, I think it would be cool...and that's all that really matters. I was simply asking if anyone knew where to find parts, not if anyone thought it would be "cool". I'm fully aware that the stock Mazda engine can hardly get out of it's own way but It most likely would ever actually see the dirt...LOL.

not to steel the the thread but i made an intake adapter for a 2 door metro on 18's that is lowered , he runs it on the drag strip to! lol its funny as hell, it runs a 13.2 , he loves it so do what makes you happy man , i think itd be cool personally

i like th idea..but it would def.be easyer on you to build it all from scratch...insted of trying to find parts...mabe use a ranger or toyota base ...?..but if you ever deside to do this i want pics....add me
