I think it's time for a Weber.

I've had nothing but trouble with my Toyota carbs. I have 3, and I can't seem to get any of them to work for very long without some kind of issues. Well yesterday my carb finally left me for dead in BFE with no way to fix it. I cracked another base plate.

So I think I am ready to swap to a Weber and deal with smog when the time comes. I'd like to go for the 22RE swap, but I can't afford ti right now, because I know it will snowball into a full frame build or something. It always does.

So, anyone know a good place to buy a Weber kit at a decent price? Aside from eBay.

I dont know much about carbs, but can you not run a weber and swap a Toy carb on when you need it smogged..? (I dont know anything about smog either.. we dont have inspection here at all)

Yeah I could put a Toyota carb back on for smog. Wouldn't be too much work. But I would need at least one more parts carb, because I now have 3 with cracked base plates. I figure if I find a guy thats lenient enough he will look past it. But if not, I'll swap to a stock carb for one weekend every couple of years.
