Anyone got there ride insured with specialty coverage. My Mazdas blue book value is only like $500, but we all know we got way more money than that in our rides. Im bout to get my DAWG going again and want to have it covered just incase. I dont wanna be screwed out of all the time, money, and hardwork thats gone into it if some uninsured fuck hits me.

i believe most insurance companys will let you take pix of your mods, etc and state how much stuff is worth and theyll cover it.

Yeah I got lucky when some bitch rearended me about 4yrs ago cause she had State Farm. Im a bodyman and the shop I was working at was a State Farm pro shop. I was cool with the adjuster and he got it all paid for me. I know its gonna cost more but I just want that extra piece of mind in the back of my head. So will I need to get any receipts I have and quotes or estimates from other shops or something?

dont know from personal experience just what ive been told. id imagine each company might do it a lil differently. but id say along those lines. showing receipts, etc. just call your insurance company and see what they say.

I just moved from Hagerty to Grundy. You can go "stated value". I saved 50% switching to Grundy.

ya you will need reciepts and have to prove it can function better or the same as factory and is safe

I just picked up 25K worth of coverage (on top of my full coverage to cover the cost of the truck) for only like $350 additional a year. Just have to be able to provide receipts for everything. Just best to ask your insurance agent and they will either work with you to get it set up or refer you to someone who can so that they can get the referral fee

so do they need to come out and appraise it? Or is pictures good enough?

I don't want an appraiser coming and looking at my body dropped truck. And are there age limitations to these policies? I am 23, but would like some additional coverage.

yup, i got it. one of the dudes that got me into minitruckin's wife is an insurance agent, she saved my bacon, when my trucks are not operating, i drop everything but comprehensive coverage (i think just the comp is about $40 a year) so i'm not paying full coverage for something not running, i also have reciepts for everything for the s10, when the tree fell on it they were going to total it out until i produced appx. $15,000 worth of reciepts, and i got everything covered. So just keep reciepts for everything
