First off your a DA for thinking that you need to put about 6g in your truck to fix your messed up frame. You dont know anything about spending major money. If anyone sells there truck by your theory we would all be broke as hell. Well lets see lets spend 50g in a truck so i can sell it for 10g, that makes a whole lot of sense. dont hate on other people who enjoy spending money on their ride spend money on yours.

youll never get what u got in a custom truck unless its a classic and u built it yall your self then u might get a decent price.

im trying to sell my hb. but im only asking 5500$ i think thats a good price for that truck really

yeah, im tryin to sell mine for 11k at the most. someone offered me 10k cash the other day, not sure if i wanna take it or not or keep the truck alittle longer.

I never expect to get anything additional for my mods, but why in gods name would you HALF the KBB value of what the truck would go for in stock share? That just makes zero sence.

Maybe its because I havent sold any of my cars and truck for under the 30k mark when it was time. Old stuff might be harder to sell for a big return.

IFirst of all, Kelly Blue Book and Nada are just reference guides to idiots to put a value on yours or anyones vehicle. What we should be talking about is what is called(in the car business) as "Real Dollar Value". What this is is the value that you vehicle is trully worth on the open or dealer market. Just because book says a 2005 Chevy Cavalier is worth $10,000 dollars, doesn't mean anyone would pay that much. Your truck or car is only worth what someone will pay for it. So if you want to throw your "Cover Truck" or "Truck of the Year" up on Auto Trader for $30,000 even though KBB says its ontl worth $3000, then have at it. You never know, someone might want it that bad.

Your ride is only worth what someone else wants to pay for it. I'm 20grand deep into my tacoma already and paint, wheels and intierior is not done yet so add another 12 grand on top of that. If I put it up for sale with todays market and if the truck has appeal i might get 11 or 12 grand for it in real time. If someone doesnt want to go thru the head ache of taking 3 or 4 years to build a crazy ride they will buy it. If they don't then pull out the pocket book cause bag, body drops, paint, stereo, and intieror is going to add up quick not including the cost of the ride it self. If they want it .....they will come.

^^^Exactly..there is a sucker born everyday so you never know, you might just sell your truck for double whats it worth!! Why would you even bother taking the time to write about this.....if you dont like the price then dont pay...you never know someone else might thing its a damn deal!

Think about it, if you are not doin the work, you are payin to have it done. So yeah you will probably never get what you have totally put into it. Especially if you have had to get stuff re-done, ie my ford for instance. At the time the the cost of the truck was 24k. after all said and done, paint frontend, bags stereo system twice, re-bagged, 3rd set of wheels. It sold for $14,500. Was I pissed about it phuck no. What pissed me off was the fact is that he has had it since jan 08, and since feb 4th, it has been in an impound yard in colorado because the dipshit doesn't have a liscence, hasn't changed the title, no insurance, registration or inspection. just my nickle thrown in on the subject

he is wrong to some extent depending on the quality of the truck. But I do see his point somewhat. There are people on mautofied asking 5k over blue book for something with a 2 link, a cup bag setup and some pinstripes. You have to think how much money do people have to put down. You can only get a loan for blue book retail, so 10k over that is a little exesive if the truck isnt very well executed.
